Welcome to the Imo State Economic Summit 2025

It is with great pleasure and a deep sense of purpose that I welcome you to the Imo State Economic Summit 2025, scheduled for Thursday, 4th to Friday, 5th December 2025 at the Imo International Conference Center (ICC), Owerri.

This year’s Summit, themed “Unlocking Imo’s Economic Potential: Partnership, Investment, and Innovation”, represents a bold step in our mission to transform Imo State into a competitive investment destination, a hub of innovation, and a model for sustainable development in Nigeria and across Africa.

The Summit will convene government leaders, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, development partners, and international investors to engage in dialogue, forge partnerships, and explore opportunities across critical sectors including infrastructure, energy, ICT, agriculture, finance, tourism, and the creative economy.

Beyond the plenary sessions, we have designed a dynamic program that creates unique avenues for engagement, including:

• A Golf Tournament (December 3rd), providing a relaxed environment for strategic networking.
• A Networking Dinner (December 4th), showcasing Imo’s culture and fostering connections among stakeholders.
• Sectoral Roundtables, Exhibitions, and Presentations (December 4–5th), enabling meaningful dialogue, knowledge sharing, and investment matchmaking.

At the heart of this Summit is a clear vision: to unlock the full potential of Imo State by fostering inclusive growth, job creation, and sustainable prosperity. This vision cannot be achieved by government alone. It requires strong collaboration with the private sector, civil society, and our international partners.
